In April 2006, the Solar Cinema went to Haydock Sports Collage in St Helens for a special screening and prizegiving for the winner of the "It's not a crime to be different" film competition.

We had a tent full of local dignitries, including councillors, police chiefs, Saints New Zealand star Vinnie Anderson, Sean Speakman, the competition winner and the rest of his year from the school. It was comforting to know that the Police had come complete with an Armed Response Unit in a bomb proof Land Rover!
